Codes and conventions of fashion magazines:

- Similar feminine colours

- Similar fonts

- Mainly women

- Mainly midshots or longshots

- A picture of a model or celebrity

- Serious or relaxed facial expressions

- Words associated with fashion

Style guide:


How many different font styles are there?  3 

How are the cover lines made to look different?  They are different sizes, slightly different fonts and different positioning.

Are the cover lines block caps or sentence case?  Sentence case

Is the cover line font rounded or angular?  Angular

How are the cover lines organised around the image?  They are organised around the main image so that the image is still visible.



WWW:The masthead stands out and the main image is still visible.
EBI: There were more cover lines and more variety of colour.

    Great first attempt. I agree though, you need more cover lines and they need to be smaller.

  Thursday 24th September 2020 LO: to analyse a media text using Media Language In the Tenet trailer, mise-en-scene is used effectively to make the scenes more intense. For example guns and people fighting make it more intense , more interesting  and it implies that the film is an action film.  This would persuade  people who like action films t o watch the film.   Editing is also used in the Tenet trailer. A director might choose this setting for a horror film because it makes it creepier if the house is in the middle of no where as the characters cannot escape easily and get help if they are in danger so it is more likely that whatever is after the characters will be able to get to the characters. 2.
