  Thursday 25th February 2021 Setting and props  What settings, locations and props would you expect to find in: 1. A science fiction film I would expect the setting to be something like a science laboratory and I would expect there to be props that are related to science or props that would be found in a science laboratory. 2. A romantic comedy I would expect the setting to be quite calm and peaceful.  3. A horror film I would expect the setting to be dark and creepy and the props to be also dark, mysterious and creepy and related to the theme of the film. He is wearing quite dull colours which could suggest that he is a serious character and he is wearing a hat and is a bit tanned which could suggest that he is outside a lot. 2.   Tuesday 23rd February 2021                      Sound in Film Lo: to explore the use of sound in films. Describe the sort of music you would expect to hear in the following types of film. 1. A horror film I would expect to hear low, creepy and suspenseful  music in a horror film. 2. An action film I would expect quite fast and suspenseful music in an action film. 3.  A thriller Similar music to a horror but less creepy. 4.  A comedy film I would expect to hear pop music in a comedy film. 5.   Tuesday 2nd February 2021                                   Setting Why might a director choose the following settings? 1. An isolated house in a rural setting for a horror film. A director might choose this setting for a horror film because it makes it creepier if the house is in the middle of no where as the characters cannot escape easily and get help if they are in danger so it is more likely that whatever is after the characters will be able to get to the characters. 2. A big city for an action film A director might choose this setting for an action film because usually cities are very busy and usually a lot happens in an action film so it would make sense for the film to be set in a busy place 3.
