LO: To explore how a film is made and the various industry roles.
20th Century Fox, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., Universal Pictures, Sony, and Walt Disney Studios
These companies dominate all other film companies because they own their own production, distribution and exhibition companies so they get to keep most of the money made from the film. Other small production companies do not own distribution and exhibition companies so therefore they have to share a lot of the money made from the film.

Gaffer: A lighting technician and head of the lighting department
Grip: They help to build the set.
Adr mixer: Editing the sounds that are recorded.
They need to develop their idea and have it approved by the studio
1. Pre-production: The planning of a film. Writing the script, getting actors, finding locations.
2. Production: The making and recording of the film.
3. Post production: The editing of the film, marketing, selling the film
Distribution: Getting a distribution company to show the film so that people can view the film.
