LO: To develop an effective film marketing strategy.
I would release my film during a period of time that there were no school holidays as my target audience are mainly adults.
Tenet
1. It was released alongside Hobbs and shaw
2. In india they chose to advertise the Joker alongside it because it would appeal more to people in India as they have slightly different interests.
3. They released it online, on tv then in cinemas so that more people would know about the film because then not only the people at the cinema would know about it. They released the first teaser trailer in august a year before the release date and then in December, 6 months before the release date the trailer was released.
4. It was promoted on Fortnite.

I would promote a new bond film on some kind of action video game by putting the characters in the game or I would release an official sound track of the film and get cinema companies to play the trailer for the film before a similar film because the audience will be interested in the bond film if they are going to watch a similar film. Or partner with a suit brand for men to sell a clothing line inspired by bond's clothing in the new film.
My disaster film
I would promote my disaster film by making a new game featuring all of the characters in the film or adding the characters in the film to a sci-fi action game.
I would pay cinema companies to play the trailer before similar disaster/sci-fi films as my disaster film is a mixture of sci-fi and disaster so the audience for films of either genre would be interested in my disaster movie.
I would also sell figurines and replicas of the aliens and spaceships in the film because they are likely to be bought by people who are interested in that kind of thing and likely to watch the film.
I would also create social media accounts for characters and the film to promote it and share the trailer or clips from the film to get people interested and talking about it.
I would display posters in cinemas, shops like hmv or dvd places that sell film and posters that are similar to my disaster film and also get them to sell the posters and the soundtrack.
I would also host a zoom meeting with a limit of the amount of people that can get on that will be showing unseen clips of the film that people will have to try and get into before the meeting is full so that they can see the clips before everyone else.
I would promote my release date by partnering with a brand like apple or samsung to get them to give notifications on phones counting down to the release date of the film.
I would parter with a brand like Monster to create a drink inspired by the film for example creating a monster energy drink that's design on the packaging, taste of the drink and name of the drink is inspired by the film.
