Tuesday 22nd June 2021 LO: To develop an effective film marketing strategy. I  would release my film during a period of time that there were no school holidays as my target audience are mainly adults. Tenet 1. It was released alongside Hobbs and shaw 2. In india they chose to advertise the Joker alongside it because it would appeal more to people in India as they have slightly different interests. 3. They released it online, on tv then in cinemas so that more people would know about the film because then not only the people at the cinema would know about it. They released the first teaser trailer in august  a year before the release date and then in December, 6 months before the release date the trailer was released. 4. It was promoted on Fortnite. Thursday 1st July 2021 I would promote a new bond film on some kind of action video game by putting the characters in the game or I would release an official sound track of the film and get cinema companies to play the trailer for t...

Thursday 18th March 2021 LO: To effectively develop an idea for a disaster movie. Genre Conventions The characters 2012, World War Z and The day after tomorrow were trying to escape and both of them were not natural disasters. The disaster in The impossible and Contagion was a natural disaster. Most of them are set in the city and are trying to save their family. The characters are usually panicking and there is a lot of destruction. My disaster film It is about humans invading aliens and destroying their planet and the aliens have to leave their planet to escape from the humans as they could be killed by the humans.  It is set on a planet that is not earth. It is set in the future. The humans would fly to the planet in a rocket to see if there are aliens there and when they find the aliens they try to kill them so the aliens try to escape from the humans.  The message behind my film is that things aren't always as they seem. Tuesday 23rd March 2021 Equilibrium: The aliens ar...

Disaster movies

Tuesday 9th March 2021                            Lo: To explore the disaster movie genre. The movie poster makes Godzilla look very big compared to everything else and it shows that the buildings have been ruined which could tell us that Godzilla had destroyed the buildings which tells us that the disaster in the film is caused by Godzilla. The title of the film tells us that the film is probably about a virus. The characters in the pictures all have serious expressions on their face which implies that it is a serious situation. The pictures also look quite dramatic which could mean that the film is quite dramatic.  In this poster there is a large object that looks like it could be a space craft which is bigger that all of the buildings and it is hovering over a city and one of the buildings looks as if it is exploding being taken away. This could tell us that this film is about aliens or anything extra-terrestr...

Thursday 25th February 2021 Setting and props  What settings, locations and props would you expect to find in: 1. A science fiction film I would expect the setting to be something like a science laboratory and I would expect there to be props that are related to science or props that would be found in a science laboratory. 2. A romantic comedy I would expect the setting to be quite calm and peaceful.  3. A horror film I would expect the setting to be dark and creepy and the props to be also dark, mysterious and creepy and related to the theme of the film. Costume, hair and makeup What can you tell about the following characters from their costume, hair and makeup? 1. He is wearing quite dull colours which could suggest that he is a serious character and he is wearing a hat and is a bit tanned which could suggest that he is outside a lot. 2. Lca lesson 5

Tuesday 2nd February 2021                                   Setting Why might a director choose the following settings? 1. An isolated house in a rural setting for a horror film. A director might choose this setting for a horror film because it makes it creepier if the house is in the middle of no where as the characters cannot escape easily and get help if they are in danger so it is more likely that whatever is after the characters will be able to get to the characters. 2. A big city for an action film A director might choose this setting for an action film because usually cities are very busy and usually a lot happens in an action film so it would make sense for the film to be set in a busy place 3. A small seaside town for a romantic comedy A director might choose thing setting for a romantic comedy because it is usually quite peaceful in a small seaside town and a romantic comedy would also ...

Website Evaluation

https://mollym1039.wixsite.com/my-site My company is for streaming horror movies at a low price. On Wix I had to change the titles and information to fit my brand. I also had to add different pictures and make sure that everything had been changed. I am pleased with the layout of my website as it is quite simplistic and not overwhelming. If I were to make the website again I would add more information.
